ABOUT SAM

I built my business so it doesn't need me

I'm not a developer. I'm someone who got tired of being the only person who could run the place.

Sam Parsons

8,000 cars, fifty hours a week

I built a mobile car detailing business. Good revenue, a full calendar, and every single job going through me. 115 five-star reviews, and not one hour of it running without me.

The car detailing business

Then I couldn't get off the couch

Glandular fever came back and I lost two weeks. The business stopped, because all of it was in my head. Nothing about the work was written down, so nothing about the work could happen without me. That's when I started building systems instead of working harder.

The other thing that got to me was where the hours went. Quoting, invoicing, rosters, chasing reviews — every hour I spent in front of the keyboard felt like a waste of a day. None of it was the work I was actually good at, and none of it was why I started the business.

I run the same business on 2 hours a week

Bookings, follow-ups, reviews, rosters — one piece at a time, until the whole thing ran without me pushing it. Around seventy of those five-star reviews came in on their own. Same business, same revenue, two hours a week of my attention.

Time back with family

Now I've created the lifestyle that I want

Time with the people who matter, work I actually chose, and a week that doesn't start with a backlog. The business still runs; I'm just not the thing holding it up.

So what are we doing spending our weeks on tasks AI could do?

If your business only runs when you're in it, that's the conversation

Starts with a 15-minute call. You're talking to me, not a salesperson.
